Group Journey
Due to a change in NSW Workers Compensation Legislation, which took effect on 1 April 2013, you no longer have cover for employees injured in an accident while travelling to and from work.
The main exception to the new rule is where there is 'a real and substantial connection between the employment and the accident or incident which results in an injury'. It is only a small window of cover.
Covering the commute to and from work.

Also, if your employee is in a motor vehicle accident, compensation should be provided by CTP insurance.

To restore some protection, MBAIS has designed and built a Group Journey Insurance policy with a specialist underwriting agency to cover your employees for loss of income. Unfortunately, cover for medical costs cannot be included as this is prohibited by law.
