Home Warranty Insurance Update

As the specialist in insurance to the building and construction industry MBA Insurance Services (MBAIS) has been at the forefront of negotiations with the insurance market following the announced withdrawal of Lumley General and CGU Insurance from the builders home warranty market.

Clients of MBAIS and MBA Members currently insured through either Lumley or CGU for builders home warranty insurance are encouraged to read the following important notes regarding the process of transferring eligibility to an alternative provider.

MBAIS is pleased to advise that it has successfully completed a transfer of builders who have current eligibility with either Lumley or CGU with retention of existing limits and a similar premium pricing category where defined insurer requirements are met.

Existing clients will receive a letter within the next 14 days addressing their specific circumstances. If you have any questions about the contents of the letter or process to transfer eligibility please contact us on 1800 645 455.

MBA Members and the general public that do not presently use MBA Insurance Services but are experiencing difficulty obtaining home warranty eligibility can either;

Call 1800 150 888 or 1300 780 095 (NSW only) to discuss their situation

or

Complete the Letter of Appointment and standard MBA Builders Home Warranty Eligibility Application Form and return them to our Offices.
