Our Business Development and Account Executives bring extensive experience in servicing clients of various sizes and complexity, from sub-contractors and owner builders through to large scale commercial projects.
Following is an overview of our key people:
Kevin Pattison - General Manager
He began his General Insurance career in 1978. Throughout his 30 years in the industry, he has held senior executive positions with several major Insurers including Vero, APIA and Calliden. He has worked in both direct and intermediated businesses, dealing in long tail and short tail classes, thus his expertise spans all facets of commercial and personal insurance.
Kevin has lived and worked in the three major insurance markets within Australia (NSW, VIC and QLD) for significant periods, as well as carrying out assignments in London , South East Asia and USA.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Business (Insurance) from Victoria University and he is a Fellow (CIP) of the Australian and New Zealand Insurance Institute. He is also a Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors.
Michael Wood
Michael Wood joins MBAIS after holding CFO roles at major
broking houses such as Willis and others. (based in Melbourne)
Michael is a specialist in all facets of financial management which will ensure that we are maximizing the best possible financial result for the business each year.
Paul Roworth
Paul Roworth joins the team as Southern Region
Manager (i.e. responsible for Victoria and Tasmania) after a lengthy
career in Australia and overseas working for Marsh, Aon and Lowndes
Lambert.
Paul has spent much of his life broking in the field of Construction, particularly in aspects of infrastructure and transport.
Joel Ciszek - Western Region
Manager (acting)
Joel Ciszek joined MBA Insurance Services in May 2007 and
has specific responsibility for MBAIS Sales & Marketing.
Joel has over 10 years insurance experience in both the domestic and commercial construction sector. Working with builders with a turnover of up to $40m Joel specialises in Construction, Home Warranty and General Insurance classes.
Previously Joel spent over 10 years in the building industry, sub-contracting as a carpenter.
Joel has a Bachelor of Arts Degree and is a member of the Australian & New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
Karl Tester
Karl Tester is a well known and respected insurance broker with 23 years experience including eight years as the Northern Territory State Executive of a global insurance broking giant.
Karl offers a proven track record of commended performance, technical expertise and satisfied, loyal clientele. As the1998 recipient of the coveted national Warren Tickle Award for Outstanding Performance, Karl’s professionalism has been recognised by his colleagues and clients.
High levels of customer service and insurance programs that are individually designed to fit each client are what Karl enjoys doing the most.
Commencing in 2010 Karl has now acts as an authorised representative of MBA Insurance Services Pty Ltd .
