Construction Risk

Because every claim is different, we advise our clients that the first point of contact in the event of a claim should be their Client Account Executive.

It is important that you notify us of any claim or potential claim or circumstance that may give rise to a claim under your various policies.  It is your responsibility to notify these circumstances to us.

Failure to adhere to the notification requirements particularly timing, as set out in the policy or other coverage document, may entitle Insurers to deny your claim.  In presenting a claim it is your responsibility to disclose all facts which are material to the claim.

Your attention is drawn to the fact that some policies provide indemnity on a "claims made" basis, which means that claims first advised to you (or made against you) and reported to your Insurer during the Period of Insurance are covered, irrespective of when the incident causing the claim occurred, subject to any clauses relating to a Retroactive Date.

In order to ensure that any entitlement to indemnity under the policy is protected, you must therefore report all incidents that may give rise to a claim against you to the Insurers without delay after such incidents come to your attention and prior to the expiration of the policy period.

Some examples of policies that have a claims made form are:

  • Professional Indemnity insurance

  • Directors and Officers Liability Insurance

  • Commercial Builders Structural Defects (Vic)

Financial Risk

Financial risk products by their nature are unique and as such the claims process for each product is significantly different.

For Home Warranty Insurance claims clients are advised to contact their insurer directly.

For Trade Credit claims, Surety & Premium Funding matters clients should refer to the 'Contact Us' page which contains an Enquiry Form and Contacts Details for each State & Territory.
